A 24-hour fast called ”A Day in the Life” will be held
November 19 at Barry University in Miami, FL, starting at 8:00 pm in the Weber
Game Room. The event will raise awareness about global hunger and raise funds
for Friends of the World Food Program. It is expected that around 60-70 participants
each hope to raise $1 per hour, through sponsors, for the 24 hours they plan on
fasting. At the end of their day in the life of the world’s hungry, the group
will throw a “Break the Fast” closing reception with food and music as well as
a discussion of hunger and the event. The
reception will be held in The Grill 155 on campus. We hope to see you there
supporting the participants who have taken up this important cause!
