World Food Program USA is a US-based non-profit organization dedicated to building support for the World Food Program (WFP) and other hunger relief efforts.
Nearly 50 percent of the world's hungry live in India, a low-income, food-deficit country. Around 35 percent of India’s population is considered food-insecure. The World Bank recently released a video on undernutrition with a special focus on India. The video clearly explains how undernutrition at a young age can permanently affect a child’s potential for success, and gives recommendations for ending the cycle of poverty and hunger in India. Watch the video below to learn more.
The United Nations World Food Program (WFP) provides assistance in India. Visit the WFP-India country page to learn about ongoing efforts to alleviate hunger. http://www.wfp.org/countries/india

It is so sad to see that many children are going hungry during this day and age. After watching this video, I realized that in the list of steps to prevent malnutrition there is not one step to birth control. The majority of those families are poor, and they do not take responsibility to control the birth of more children under those conditions.
We can help by giving money for food, yes, but it will not solve the problem if they continue to have more babies. The same situation happens in Haiti, people who have nothing are the ones who have a lot of children. I will contribute to educate those women and man to birth control so that they can take care of their children. It should be penalized to have children without having the means to take good care of them. When are we adults going to take responsibility for our actions? Money helps temporarily to fee them but it should also be allocated to educate those people.
